    “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would exert himself in worship during the last ten nights more than at any other time.” (Muslim)

2. Seeking Laylat al-Qadr

  • Aisha (RA) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
    “Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

3. Spending the Night in Worship

  • Aisha (RA) also said:
    “When the last ten nights began, the Prophet (ﷺ) would tighten his waist belt, stay awake at night, and wake his family for prayers.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

  • Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet (ﷺ):

  • “O Allah, forgive all my sins, whether small or great, first or last, hidden or apparent.”

1. Performing Night Prayers (Qiyam & Tahajjud)

  • The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
    “Whoever prays at night during Ramadan with faith and hoping for reward, his past sins will be forgiven.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
  • These prayers should be performed with deep reflection, long recitations, and sincere devotion.

2. Increasing Quran Recitation

  • Ramadan is the month of the Quran, and righteous predecessors would complete multiple recitations during these nights.
  • Allah says:
    “The month of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185)

3. Observing I’tikaf (Spiritual Retreat)

  • Ibn Umar (RA) reported:
    “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to observe I’tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
  • I’tikaf involves dedicating oneself to worship in the mosque, avoiding distractions, and focusing on prayer and supplication.

4. Giving Charity and Helping Others

  • The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
    “The best charity is given in Ramadan.” (Tirmidhi)
  • It is encouraged to give generously to those in need, whether through zakat or voluntary charity.

5. Increasing Remembrance and Seeking Forgiveness

  • Allah says:
    “And the men who remember Allah much and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:35)
  • Engage in continuous remembrance (dhikr), seek forgiveness (istighfar), and glorify Allah.
