Helping vulnerable families stand on their feet — not just survive — is one of the most noble forms of charity.
Because real impact isn’t just about giving today — it’s about giving in a way that restores dignity, builds self-reliance, and offers families the chance to live with purpose, even through hardship.
And while there are many ways to support others, one of the most powerful is through the Livelihood Waqf Share — a sustainable, faith-driven investment that transforms lives in the long run.
This share isn’t a temporary donation that fades after a few days or weeks. It’s a form of Sadaqah Jariyah — a continuous charity that generates income through Shariah-compliant investments and provides monthly support to widows, orphans, and the poor. The returns help families meet their basic needs with dignity, without relying on one-off aid.

In Afghanistan, Waqf Shares Are Changing Lives
In a country where tens of thousands of children have lost their fathers, the Livelihood Waqf Share has become a source of hope and sometimes, survival.
Across rural Afghan villages, stories of quiet resilience emerge. Here are just two.
Anisa and Her Five Children: Weaving a Future Through Faith
Anisa’s orphaned children – Afghanistan
In Balkh province, Anisa, a 47-year-old widow, lives with her five children after her husband, a humble farmer, passed away from cancer.
For the past year and a half, she has been fighting alone to hold her family together. Her only income comes from hand-weaving carpets — barely $30 a month. But even with this meagre income, Anisa clings to a beautiful dream: to educate her children and give them the future she never had.
Her struggle is even more heart-wrenching as two of her children suffer from mental illness, and she has no support system, no regular help, and no income to rely on.
Through the International Waqf Fund’s “Reaching Orphan and Vulnerable Families for Socioeconomic Empowerment” Project, Anisa received a financial grant to expand her weaving business.
“I believe this grant will help me buy new fabrics and raw materials from the city.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible,”
Anisa says with quiet hope.
Latifa’s Children Face Cold and Hunger
Latifa’s family – Afghanistan
Latifa’s story is heartbreakingly similar. She lost her husband in conflict and is now raising four orphaned children with no stable income.
“Some days,” she says, “I can’t even manage two meals.
In the winter, we have no heating, no food, no blankets.”
She depends on occasional help from her brother and distant relatives, but it’s not enough to meet even the most basic needs.
Through the project “Reaching Orphan and Vulnerable Families for Socioeconomic Empowerment”, Latifa received financial grant to begin building a small, consistent source of income — not just for today, but for tomorrow.

How Your Waqf Share Makes a Real, Lasting Difference
When you start a Livelihood Waqf Share, you’re not giving once — you’re helping build a system that gives over and over again.
Your donation is invested, and the income it generates goes toward supporting families like Anisa’s and Latifa’s every single month. This is what makes Waqf unique. It doesn’t stop with a single meal or blanket. It becomes a lifeline that continues to nourish, clothe, and empower long after the donation is made.
With just one share, you could:
Provide consistent food support to a widow and her children, help an orphan access education, support a mother starting her own home-based business and ease the burden of a family who have no one else to turn to.
What Are You Waiting For?
